Requirements - First Issuance
Foreign language native speaker, bachelor's degree, passing Praxis II content test in native language and required native language pedagogy coursework.
Usually a holder of the Preliminary Native Language Teaching Authorization converts to this authorization

Authority
Limited to language listed on the authorization. Not eligible for conditional licensure.
Renewals
6 renewal credits and the mandatory reporter training for child and dependent adult abuse.
OR
Verification of a Master's degree or higher, at least 10 years of PK-12 licensed experience, and the mandatory reporter training for child and dependent adult abuse.
Extension
Yes - if more time is needed to complete renewal requirements.
